Located in the town of Northbrook, north of Chicago, Emily’s Stitchery, formerly North Shore Needleworks, is a needlepoint-only shop owned by Emily and Josh Sobel.

We specialize in a large assortment of threads (in complete color lines) and a huge collection of canvases and charts. Silk threads, in all their glory, are a favorite with us and we carry many lines.

Our aim is to give you superior service. Our in-shop classroom seats 16 people with individual stations, outfitted with Stella lights, canvas stands, desks, and a range of professional instructors. 

Our staff are all accomplished needlework craftspeople. We do stitch guides, kitting, and help our clients get the most out of the craft.
